Measure is an objective category of the universe, defining the limits and proportions in which harmonious life is possible. It is the principle of the “golden mean” and justice.
Rule of the Universe: MIM
At the foundation of all that exists lies a trinity:
- Matter: The substance from which everything is made.
- Information (Image): The meaning and form that matter is endowed with.
- Measure: The matrix of all possible states; the algorithm by which Information governs Matter.
Western science sees only Matter (energy). Idealists see only Spirit (information). And only Russian civilization possesses the concept of Measure — the connecting link that explains how Spirit is embodied in Matter.
Civilizational Mission of Russia
In the global context, there exists:
- The World of the West: The Civilization of Matter (technology, comfort, law).
- The World of the East: The Civilization of Spirit (traditions, kin, ritual).
- Russia: This is the Civilization of Measure.
Our historical mission is to show the world the Third Way. A way where Spirit does not reject Matter, but spiritualizes it. Where technology serves the development of humanity, not its enslavement.
Loss of Measure = Crisis
Any crisis (personal, economic, ecological) is always a violation of Measure.
- Took a loan beyond measure — bankruptcy.
- Drank beyond measure — illness.
- Cut down forests beyond measure — flooding.
The main task of a manager is to feel Measure (the limits of what is acceptable). Without this, any reforms lead to catastrophe.
Life by Measure
“Sense of measure” is an built-in safeguard against self-destruction. To live by Measure means to take from nature exactly as much as is needed for development, without falling into asceticism and without sliding into parasitic consumption. The loss of Measure always leads to catastrophe.

I lived and studied abroad in New Zealand, taking English language courses. I lived and worked in South Korea in the fields and at sea. In total, I’ve visited four different countries, different from those where Russian is spoken. I’ve interacted with people from at least 20 different cultures, religions, and faiths. I share my experiences on my blog. I try not to judge or make any judgments, but I do draw conclusions.
